Three Reederei Nord’s Newbuildings to Join Sigma Tankers Pool

Reederei Nord Limited has committed three 2013 newbuildings, “Nordtulip”, “Nordorchid” and “Nordlotus”, into the Heidmar-controlled Aframax/LR2 pool. The “Nordtulip” delivered to the pool in January 2013, the “Nordlotus” and “Nordorchid” will deliver to the pool in March and June this year.

Sigma Tankers, an Aframax and LR2 tanker Pool, operates 40 ships from 17 different Pool Members from around the globe. The current fleet has an average age of 5 years making it the youngest as well as one of the largest tanker pool operators.
