Titan Environmental Surveys Increases Its Fleet

Titan Environmental Surveys Increase Their Fleet

Titan Environmental Services has launched and tested Titan Discovery, a 13m long GRP laminates catamaran designed and built by Alicat of Great Yarmouth.

The new vessel will enhance and strengthen the capabilities of the Titan survey fleet increasing the number of operating coastal vessels to five.

It is MCA coded to carry up to 12 passengers. The vessel is fully equipped to conduct hydrographic, oceanographic and environmental surveys up to 60 nautical miles from safe haven, coupled with the shallow draft; it makes the Discovery ideally suited for surveying in nearshore, coastal, estuarine and intertidal environments.

The central moon pool on the Titan Discovery is adapted to deploy high resolution multi-beam systems for a variety of hydrographic requirements as well as being able to deploy Acoustic Doppler Current profilers for oceanographic surveys.

The catamaran is already on route to the South coast of England where it is scheduled to deploy its geo-swathe system for an aggregate dredge monitoring survey.

Titan Environmental Surveys Limited have thirty professional, specialist surveyors who offer a wealth of experience in a wide range of multi-disciplinary geophysical, hydrographic and oceanographic surveys. Titan’s field staff have considerable experience in conducting bathymetric surveys to MCA/IHO S-44 standard and have completed several contracts involving cable route, habitat mapping and scour surveys for offshore wind sector.
