Tidal Lagoon Swansea Bay (TLSB), along with GFirst LEP and The Growth Hub, is holding a supply chain awareness session for Gloucestershire construction, manufacturing, operations and maintenance companies.

The session will offer more information about the sub-contracting opportunities at the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon, and how companies can position themselves to make the most of the opportunities that Swansea Bay tidal lagoon project opens up.

Richard Graham, MP for Gloucester, said: “Marine energy is a great opportunity for our country and Tidal Lagoon Power’s supply chain event is a great opportunity for Gloucestershire subcontractors.”

The construction workshop will feature Laing O’Rourke, a preferred bidder for £200 million contract to deliver Swansea Bay tidal lagoon’s turbine house and sluice structure block, and Alun Griffiths, a preferred bidder for public realm ancillary works contract worth approximately £25 million.

The event will take place on February 3, 2016.
