Tullow Awards Ghana FPSO Contract to Modec

MODEC, Inc. announced that Tullow has awarded TEN Ghana MV25 B.V., a subsidiary of MODEC, contracts for the supply, charter and lease, operations and maintenance of a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (“FPSO”) vessel for the Tweneboa, Enyenra, and Ntomme (“TEN”) fields in the Deepwater Tano contract area in water depth averaging 1,500m.

 

‘Ocean Rig Apollo’ to Drill for Total in Congo

Ocean Rig UDW has secured a drilling contract for its under-construction drillship Ocean Rig Apollo. The company, in its 2Q release, announced that definite documentation for the deal was signed with Total E&P Congo on July 30,2013.

 

Petrobras Makes Oil Discovery in Santos Basin

Brazilian oil company, Petroleo Brasileiro, also known as Petrobras, has made an oil discovery in the pre-salt area of the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil. The well, informally named Iguaçu Mirim, is situated 303 km from the coast of the state of São Paulo. The oil discovered has an API gravity of 20 degrees.

 

Dockwise Vessel Used as Drydock for Rig

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) announced today that it was recently contracted to assist with the repair and maintenance of a semi-submersible drilling rig in the Mediterranean. Boskalis’ share of the project has been successfully completed.

 

IHC Merwede Confirms 1 Billion Euro Orders for Six Pipelayers

IHC Merwede’s Offshore division has been successful in securing orders worth over €1 billion for the design, engineering and construction of a total of six pipelaying vessels. The agreements for these six ships have been signed with Subsea 7 and Seabras Sapura, the partnership between SapuraKencana and Seadrill.
