USA: Cheniere, Centrica Ink Sabine Pass LNG Deal

Cheniere Energy Partners said that its subsidiary, Sabine Pass Liquefaction has entered into a liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Centrica plc under which Centrica has agreed to purchase 91,250,000 MMBtu of annual LNG volumes upon the commencement of Train 5 operations.

Australia: Ichthys LNG Contract Goes to CB&I

CB&I said it has been awarded a contract valued in excess of US$80 million by JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd. The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement, construction and pre-commissioning for non-cryogenic storage tanks for the Ichthys Project LNG facilities in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.

Sweden: LNG Bunkering Vessel Named in Stockholm

The world’s first fuelling vessel for LNG (liquefied natural gas) was last week christened in a traditional christening ceremony in Stockholm, by Helena Bonnier, the chairman of Ports of Stockholm (Stockholms Hamnar), in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure, Catharina Elmsäter-Svärd, among others.

Chiyoda, CCC Form Joint Company (UAE)

Chiyoda Corporation and Consolidated Contractors Company, said that they established a joint venture company in Singapore. The name of the company is CHIYODA-CCC ENGINEERING (PTE.) LIMITED (CCEL) having its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

GasLog Takes Delivery of New LNG Tanker, Monaco

GasLog Ltd. announced the delivery of the fully owned LNG carrier GasLog Santiago, from Samsung Heavy Industries. The vessel was delivered on budget and ahead of schedule.
