1. Sandvik to Build World’s Longest Subsea Tunnel (Norway)

Sandvik Group, a high-technology, engineering group, is contracted for the world’s longest subsea tunnel project.

2. Fugro Bags Survey Contract from Subsea 7

Fugro has been awarded a contract by Subsea 7 Australia Contracting Pty Ltd to provide survey services to support its Heavy Lift and Tie-Ins contract on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project, off the northwest coast of Western Australia.

3. Iran, India Consider Sea of Oman Deepwater Gas Pipeline

Iran has generally agreed to deliver natural gas to India through a deepwater pipeline crossing the Sea of Oman, marketing director of the National Iranian Gas Exports Company (NIGEC), Ali Amirani said.

4. Pharos’ Subsea Trencher Ready for Operation (UK)

Pharos Offshore acquired an SMD built 1200HP cable burial tool in July 2013, since then the vehicle has undergone extensive modifications that have enhanced the configuration to provide a more effective post lay/ installation burial vehicle.

5. VB Arctic Tows Acergy Antares Pipelayer (Nigeria)

Boluda Towage and Salvage’s tug VB Arctic has towed a pipelay barge to Nigeria.
