1. CT Offshore to Install Cables at Gwynt y Môr OWF

Last week an agreement was finalised and signed between CT Offshore and Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Limited, covering free-laying, installation and burial of 63 cables of the in total 161 inter-array cables at one of Europe’s largest offshore wind farms.

2. Ulstein Designed Deepwater Derrick Lay Vessel for Petrofac

Sharjah based Petrofac is to build the Petrofac JSD 6000 deepwater derrick lay vessel, a customised ULSTEIN SOC 5000 developed by Dutch design company Ulstein Sea of Solutions. The vessel will be constructed at the ZPMC yard in China and be available for construction and installation activities in early 2017.

3. DOF Subsea Orders Seven ROVs from Forum

Forum Energy Technologies, Inc. announced that it has received an order from DOF Subsea AS, Bergen, Norway to supply seven Perry™ XLX 200HP work-class remote operated vehicle (ROV) systems, including five Dynacon Launch and Recovery systems (LARs).

4. JDR Wins Umbilicals Contract from FMC Technologies

JDR, a leading provider of technology connecting the global offshore energy industry, has won a contract with FMC Technologies in Kongsberg to design and supply umbilicals and reels for Intervention Workover Control System (IWOCS) for a West African field development.

5. PHOTO: NDURANCE and NDEAVOR Vessels Named in Singapore

Royal Dutch Boskalis held a naming ceremony of two OSD designed multi-functional vessels on 15th of January.
