GE Expands Small-Scale LNG Business (USA)

In connection with its recent acquisition of substantially all the assets of the Salof Companies, GE Oil & Gas announced that it has completed its acquisition of a 50 percent ownership interest in Beijing enCryo Engineering Co., Ltd., a Beijing-based joint venture with Beijing Maison Engineering Co., Ltd. that specializes in engineering for all aspects of the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical sectors.

First Prelude FLNG Turret Module Sails Away to South Korea

Drydocks World announced that Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman of Emirates Group attended the ‘sail away’ ceremony to mark the commencement of delivery of the pioneering Prelude FLNG Turret Modules to the owner Shell.

Gazprom Plans Kaliningrad LNG Terminal

Gaprom’s CEO Alexey Miller and Nikolai Tsukanov, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region, signed an agreement of understanding and cooperation in relation to the project aimed at building an LNG regasification terminal on the Baltic coast of the Kaliningrad Region, Russia’s largest gas exporter said in a statement.

VIDEO: First Transshipment from Montoir LNG Terminal, France

GDF SUEZ posted a video showing the first transshipment from the Montoir LNG terminal. As previously reported, on August 7, Elengy and the Port of Nantes Saint-Nazaire successfully completed their first transhipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) between two high-capacity LNG carriers, the Ben Badis (177,000m3 capacity) and the Gemini (126,000m3 capacity).

USA: Sabine Pass Seeks to Export Additional LNG Volumes

Sabine Pass Liquefaction (SPL) filed an application with the U.S. Department of Energy to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas in an amount of up to the equivalent of approximately 314 Bcf of natural gas per year to nations with or without a Free Trade Agreement with the United States.
