Tractebel Gets Certificate of Appreciation from GAIL

Tractebel Engineering has been awarded with a trophy and certificate by GAIL (India) Limited for “Outstanding contribution in technical innovation” as an esteemed Consultant.

The award was presented at Noida, India, on October 30, 2013. Tractebel Engineering has been the PMC for GAIL (India) during execution of major pipeline projects in India such as 610 KM Dahej-Vijaipur Pipeline Upgradation Project(DVPL-II), 95 KM Focus Energy Pipeline Project and 540 KM Dahej-Hazira-Uran Gas Pipeline project.

During these years, Tractebel Engineering has set its engineering skills at work for the development of innovative solutions. In DVPL-II project, Tractebel Engineering introduced high grade steel – API 5L PSL2 X80 material – first time in India. This high grade material allowed the usage of pipes with lower thickness, leading to reduction of the overall weight of the steel thereby reducing the cost and brining higher cost efficiencies. This project is considered as a benchmark for the pipeline industry in India.

Sanjive Sharma, Vice President (Gas BU) and Kapil Wadhawan, Addl. General Manager – M&S (Gas & LNG) were present at the occasion to receive the Award.
