Trafigura, Gunvor win Pakistan LNG cargo deliveries

State-owned company Pakistan LNG has picked its suppliers for the three cargoes scheduled for delivery in January and February. 

According to the company’s tender document, following 11 bids, traders Trafigura and Gunvor International have been selected to deliver the three cargoes.

Trafigura will supply two cargoes scheduled for delivery on January 21-22 and February 21-22.

The remaining cargo will be supplied by Gunvor in the February 3-4 window, the document shows.

In addition to the two companies that submitted bids for all three windows, Pakistan LNG received bids from BB Energy, who did not qualify, and Vitol Bahrain that submitted bids for the two February slots.

According to the initial tender document, cargoes will be delivered on a DES basis to the Port Qasim, where two Pakistan’s LNG receiving facilities are located.
