Transco’s new pipeline to service Sabine Pass LNG

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company filed an application with FERC for the authorization to construct and operate its Gulf Trace Expansion project.

The seven mile 36-inch pipeline would allow Transco to provide 1,200,00 dekatherms per day to Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

Transco has executed a binding precedent agreement with Sabine Pass for 100% of the 1,200,000 dt/day incremental firm transportation service to be created under the project, stands in the company’s application with FERC.

Transco requested that FERC issue a final order granting the authorizations requested by September 1, 2015, which would enable Transco to complete construction of the proposed facilities and begin providing service by January 1, 2017, as requested by the customer participating in the project.
