Trinidad LNG on way to Argentina

Argentina’s Escobar import terminal is scheduled to receive a shipment of LNG from Trinidad and Tobago, according to shipping data.

The cargo is being hauled by the Iberica Knutsen, with a capacity of 130,000 cubic metres, and it is due to arrive at the Escobar terminal on July 18.

GNL Escobar (GNLE), located on the Paraná River, about 30 miles outside Buenos Aires City, is Argentina’s second LNG receiving facility using Excelerate Energy’s GasPort design.

Along with providing increased peak capacity for the high-demand winter months, the facility delivers additional natural gas supply and transport capacity to the Buenos Aires region.

YPF S.A., ENARSA and Excelerate Energy jointly developed GNLE.
