Trinidad ships LNG cargo to Argentina

Atlantic LNG, the operator of Trinidad’s only liquefaction plant, has shipped a cargo of the chilled gas on Tuesday from the plant located in Point Fortin, on the southwest coast of the country.

The cargo was loaded onboard the 151,455 cbm British Emerald, and it is expected to arrive at Argentina’s Bahia Blanca LNG terminal on July 19, shipping data says.

Trinidad and Tobago currently exports LNG to some 14 countries with 49% of LNG cargoes now bound for South America and 27.5% going to other markets in the Americas, according to Atlantic LNG.

The country has recently marked its 16th year as an exporter of the chilled fuel.
