Tritech Sonars for Oceanscan

Tritech, a Moog Inc. company, has secured a deal with Oceanscan for the purchase of multiple Gemini 720is and narrow beam imaging (NBI) units from the company’s range of multibeam imaging sonars.

The Gemini 720is, an upgrade of the Gemini 720i, was launched in March 2016, and according to Tritech, combines the benefits of high-definition imaging with long-range target detection making it ideal for autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and ROV platforms.

The Gemini 720is is also ideally suited for target recognition, subsea monitoring and inspection and obstacle detection, the company explains.

Scott McLay, Tritech sales director, said: “Our Gemini 720is has seen remarkable success since its launch earlier this year and we are thrilled to see Oceanscan investing in our solutions.”

“The Gemini 720is upgrade is just one example of Tritech’s commitment to innovation. Despite the current challenging market, we continue to invest in our research and development to ensure we are producing the most effective and efficient sonar products to the market.”
