Besiktas Shipyard Launches New Tanker Named Mugan

Launching ceremony of new 7,100 DWT tanker, named Mugan, took place yesterday, November 29, 2011 at Besiktas Shipyard, Yalova. It is the fifth out of ten tankers of Armada series of Project RST22M that Palmali Group ordered from Besiktas Shipyard.

Besiktas Shipyard plans to perform the order by the end of 2013 and four of these tankers are already in service.

The Project RST22M product tankers are successors of Project 005RST01, or “Armada” first series. The Armada serial ships were designed by Marine Engineering Bureau for Palmali Group.

depth – 6,0 m.
