Turkey: Sanmar Secures Order for One Tug of RAMpart 2800-E ASD Design
Ostensjo Rederi AS has placed an order for one tug of RAMpart 2800-E ASD design at Sanmar in Turkey. The company has signed a contract with Sanmar, Turkey for delivery of one ASD tug.
The tug is of Robert Allan design with dimensions 28×12,6 m, 80 t BP and FiFi 1 class. Sanmar is the same yard that delivered “Vivax” in 2008.
The tug will be delivered end 2012.
Sanmar is founded in Istanbul in 1976. The entire Sanmar fleet has been constructed by its own shipbuilding department and continuous feedback is provided by the operations division. This is constantly evaluated and, where appropriate, applied to new projects. The success of the resultant vessels has led to an ever-growing demand from home and overseas for Sanmar built tugs or expertise in the form of consultancy services.
