Turner Iceni Newbuilding to Debut on Gwynt Y Môr

Turner Iceni’s new crew transfer vessel (CTV) Iceni Valour will service the Gwynt Y Môr offshore wind farm when the newbuilding enters service next year.

The 24-metre CTV is currently under construction at Diverse Marine Ltd’s yard on the Isle of Wight.

Iceni Valour has been designed keel up by Walker Marine Design of Southampton to meet the specific requirements of Turner Iceni and Gwynt Y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Ltd. who have the vessel under long-term charter.

The vessel is to be powered by MANV12-1400 main engines coupled to ZF gears and Hamilton HM651 waterjets complete with AVX control system, featuring JetAnchor GPS positioning system.

Humphree ride control system provides active stabilisation and improved performance/reduced fuel consumption in varied load and trim conditions.

Recently, Diverse Marine signed a contract with Turner Iceni for the modification and upcycling of the Iceni Courage crew transfer vessel.

The two companies also previously collaborated on the Iceni Warrior, former MCS Maestro, and on Iceni Revenge, former MPI Don Quixote.
