Two Missing after Ship Collision off Spain

Singapore-flagged car carrier Baltic Breeze collided with a Spanish fishing vessel near the Port of Vigo, Spain this morning.

Wallenius Marine Singapore said in its report that five people were rescued from the water, adding that there were three casualties and two people still missing.

The Port Authority sent their rescue boat and helicopter to search for missing persons.

Operators of the car carrier further said that Baltic Breeze was not carrying any cargo at the time of the incident.

The cause of the incident is yet unknown and all involved parties will co-operate with the authorities on the investigation.
