U.S. adds one offshore rig

The U.S. weekly offshore rig count climbed up by one unit, according to the Baker Hughes weekly rig count report.

Worth noting, the report, usually out on Friday, was issued earlier than usual due to the Thanksgiving holiday schedule. Baker Hughes released in on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +8 to 923 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 8 rigs from last week to 923, with oil rigs up 9 to 747, gas rigs down 1 to 176, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.

U.S. Rig Count is up 330 rigs from last year’s count of 593, with oil rigs up 273, gas rigs up 58, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 0.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 rig from last week to 22 and down 1 rig year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +7 to 215 rigs

 

Canada Rig Count is up 7 rigs from last week to 215, with oil rigs down 2 to 107 and gas rigs up 9 to 108.

Canada Rig Count is up 41 rigs from last year’s count of 174, with oil rigs up 13, gas rigs up 30, and miscellaneous rigs down 2 to 2.
