Portugal is set to receive a cargo from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana.

According to the shipping data by the port of Sines, Marib Spirit with the capacity to transport 165,500 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas is scheduled to arrive at the Sines LNG terminal on September 15.

The vessel, built by the South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries in 2008, departed the Sabine Pass LNG export facility on August 30, its AIS data shows.

The Sines LNG terminal, that mostly receives cargoes from Nigeria, Algeria and Qatar.

Portuguese facility has a nominal sendout capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
