U.S. offshore rig count rises some more
U.S. offshore operators added two more rigs to the U.S. offshore rig count this past week, the second week recording a rise in a row, Baker Hughes said in its Weekly Rig Count report posted on Friday.
BHI Rig Count: U.S. -2 to 506 rigs
U.S. Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 506, with oil rigs up 2 to 416, gas rigs down 3 to 89, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 1.
U.S. Rig Count is down 336 rigs from last year’s count of 842, with oil rigs down 228, gas rigs down 109, and miscellaneous rigs up 1.
The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is 20, up 2 rigs from last week, and down 11 rigs year over year.
BHI Rig Count: Canada -2 to 132 rigs
Canadian Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 132, with oil rigs up 1 to 75, gas rigs down 3 to 56, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 1.
Canadian Rig Count is down 50 rigs from last year’s count of 182, with oil rigs up 5, gas rigs down 56, and miscellaneous rigs up 1.
