U.S. records drop in weekly offshore rigs count

The number of active offshore rigs  in the U.S. has fallen when compared to the previous week, Baker Hughes has reported in its Weekly Rig Count. The overall rig count, including onshore rigs, has decreased too.

BHI Rig Count: U.S. -16 to 848 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is down 16 rigs from last week to 848, with oil rigs down 10 to 652, gas rigs down 6 to 196, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0.

U.S. Rig Count is down 1,083 rigs from last year at 1,931, with oil rigs down 940, gas rigs down 142, and miscellaneous rigs down 1.

The U.S. Offshore rig count is 31, down 2 rigs from last week, and down 35 rigs year over year.

BHI Rig Count: Canada -2 to 185 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 185, with oil rigs down 8 to 70, and gas rigs up 6 to 115.

Canadian Rig Count is down 220 rigs from last year at 405, with oil rigs down 152, and gas rigs down 68.
