U.S. weekly offshore rig count down again

The U.S. weekly offshore rig count fell again following a slight rise a week ago.

According to the Baker Hughes weekly U.S. rig count report on Friday, the overall North American rig count including Canada fell to 1160 this past week, down from 1169 in the previous week.

U.S. Rig Count is down 3 rigs from last week to 946, with oil rigs down 5 to 763 and gas rigs up 1 to 182.

U.S. total rig count is up 455 rigs from last year’s count of 491, with oil rigs up by 357, gas rigs up 99, and miscellaneous rigs down by 1, year over year.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down two rigs from last week to 16 and down two rigs year over year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -6 to 214 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is down 6 rigs from last week to 214, with oil rigs down 6 to 121 and gas rigs unchanged at 93.

Canadian Rig Count is up 93 rigs from last year’s count of 121, with oil rigs up by 56, gas rigs up by 37.
