U.S. weekly offshore rig count slopes downwards

Weekly offshore rig count in the U.S. dropped by two rigs, Baker Hughes informed in its report on Friday.


BHI Rig Count: U.S. +1 to 464 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 1 rig from last week to 464, with oil rigs up 7 to 381, gas rigs down 5 to 81, and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 2.

U.S. Rig Count is down 420 rigs from last year’s count of 884, with oil rigs down 289, gas rigs down 132, and miscellaneous rigs up 1.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is 17, down 2 from last week, and down 21 rigs year over year.


BHI Rig Count: Canada +3 to 122 rigs

Canadian Rig Count is up 3 rigs from last week to 122, with oil rigs unchanged at 60, gas rigs up 2 to 60, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2.

Canadian Rig Count is down 86 rigs from last year’s count of 208, with oil rigs down 40, gas rigs down 48, and miscellaneous rigs up 2.
