UGL extends Gorgon, Wheatstone LNG maintenance deals

Australian contractor UGL, part of CIMIC Group, has secured contracts from Chevron for maintenance services on the company’s Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG facilities in Western Australia.

The contract, totaling $450 million, includes the extension of maintenance and turnaround services at the Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities.

UGL is delivering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and access services for maintenance, plant turnaround and brownfield execution services, the company noted in its statement.

Additionally, UGL has secured a contract extension of integrated services for structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation for existing oil and gas sector clients in Western Australia and Victoria.

Chevron, the US-based energy company, is the operator of the giant Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects in Australia. Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities have a production capacity of 15.6 mtpa and 8.9 mtpa, respectively.
