UK: Ensco Plc. Opens New Global HQ in London

Ensco plc is hosting a reception this evening at Lancaster House to celebrate the opening of Ensco’s new global headquarters in London. The event is to introduce Ensco as one of the largest global companies to move its legal domicile to the UK. The reception will be attended by major business leaders.

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Dan Rabun stated, “Our move to the UK will be tremendously beneficial for our customers, employees and shareholders. London is an unequaled business and financial centre, as well as a global transportation hub. Our new headquarters will facilitate even greater relations with our major customers and enhanced oversight of our worldwide operations.”

Mr. Rabun added, “Our move to the UK has gone very smoothly, due in large part to the valuable advice and assistance we have received from various agencies within the UK government, especially UK Trade & Investment. Through its efforts, we have been able to maximize our transition to the UK.”

Ensco, which has a market capitalisation of $6 billion, employs approximately 3,600 people across five continents and 400 in the UK. It operates eight premium jackup drilling rigs in the North Sea as part of its fleet of more than 40 offshore drilling rigs worldwide for leading energy customers.
