UK ITW Densit Completes Grouting for London Array Project

On the 19th of October 2012 ITW Densit finalized its part in the famous London Array project. For almost two years, ITW Densit has been working on both offshore and onshore grouting within the London Array project. This included offshore and onshore grouting of 175 wind turbines and the two offshore substation foundations.

The onshore part has been performed at the premises of Bladt Industries in Aalborg, Denmark, where the concrete working platforms were connected to the transition pieces by means of grouting with the use of DucoritĀ® materials. Parallel to this onshore operation, the offshore part was executed in the outer Thames Estuary where the wind farm is located.

During this project, ITW Densit has installed 177 grouted connections between monopiles and transition pieces. As the installation of foundations is a significant base for the whole project, the requirements to the quality of work and the materials used has been extremely high. That is why ITW Densit is particularly proud of being chosen as a supplier of DucoritĀ® grouting material for this project.

A pioneer in producing Ultra High Performance Cementitious materials, ITW Densit is a global leader in supplying grouting solutions within the Wind Energy industry. For almost 30 years ITW Densit has supplied strong cementitious solutions to a variety of industries, including Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas and Wear & Abrasion.
