UK - Naming Ceremony for Offshore Support Vessel VOS Vigilant

Shipping Group Vroon announced that the namegiving ceremony of VOS Vigilant took place on Friday 24 February 2012, in Aberdeen, UK.

The vessel was christened by Mrs Annthea Hardie, wife of Mr Mark Hardie, BP Logistics and Infrastructure Manager.

VOS Vigilant, a field-support vessel, is the penultimate in a series constructed for Vroon at the Astilleros Zamakona Shipyard, Pasaia. She is part of Vroon’s extensive fleet of modern vessels providing a range of emergency response and cargo support to the offshore industry.

The vessel is operated by Vroon Offshore Services Ltd. in Aberdeen and is currently on a long-term time charter to BP.
