RBG, the leading provider of inspect, assess and repair (IAR) services to the global energy industry that was recently acquired by Stork Technical Services, has achieved more than 1,000,000 manhours without a lost time incident (LTI) across its base facility operations.

RBG’s base facility team, which has more than 70 employees and operates from Aberdeen, UK, oversees the shipping of plant to onshore and offshore facilities worldwide and, in 2010, safely transported thousands of tonnes of plant to more than 65 global locations. The team also services, stores and tracks plant and equipment, maintains the relevant certification, manages cargo transportation and coordinates custom requirements for all shipped material.

The achievement marks the latest milestone in the company’s REACH safety program which, since its launch in December 2009, has played a major role in reducing lost time incident frequency by 51% in the UKCS and 38.5% globally. The REACH aims to create a stronger, safer culture throughout RBG and in 2011 the programme has expanded to improve the company’s full HSEQ remit.
