Norway: Team Marine Extends Contract for Island Offshore's PSV

Island Offshore, a Norwegian shipping company that owns a modern fleet of advanced and high quality service vessels for the offshore oil industry, announced that Team Marine (Chevron) has declared the first of five yearly options to use the MV Island Champion.

The vessel, built by Brevik Construction in 2007, has sailed with Team Marine ever since, when it was contracted for transporting of goods to installations West of Shetland. With a deck area of 1040 m2, the MV Island Champion is a large and sophisticated platform supply vessel of UT 776E design.

The vessel is chartered by Chevron UK, which is a part of the Team Marine pool which comprises of several oil companies on the UK side of the North Sea. The vessel is trading out of Aberdeen and its main scope of work is platform supply, but through the charter period the vessel has been engaged in several projects involving fracturing and well stimulation duties.
