Ukrainian President Inspects Construction Progress of RST27 Tanker Series

Ukrainian President visited, Oct 11th, PJSC “Kherson shipbuilding plant” and examined the construction of first full-set product carriers since independence of Ukraine.

The information about the construction has been reported to the President by Head of the enterprise Vasyl Fedin. According to him, one of the most important issues for the factory is the order for such carriers.

In the course of conversation with the staff of the enterprise the President asked about the salaries and social benefits of the workers. The Head of State also stressed the importance of developing the internal market of metals by strengthening, inter alia, the shipbuilding area.

On building berth of Kherson Shipyard all three units of RST27 Tanker Series are under construction. As of beginning of October 2012 the vessels readiness is as follows: Hull 8001 is 89.0 %, Hull 8002 is 62,1 % and Hull 8003 is  55,5 % completed.
