US Picks Denmark’s Offshore Wind Brain

U.S. political representatives are paying a visit to Denmark to learn from its experience in offshore wind and to meet with the local industry.

During the four-day visit, political representatives from the U.S. east coast states will see Danish production and port facilities and will meet with the local supply chain companies.

“The climate fight requires that we bring the big leaders like China and the United States wholeheartedly into the cart,” said Denmark’s Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Dan Jørgensen.

“As a pioneer and world leader in offshore wind, Denmark is absolutely committed to helping the US states in their work on green change. Denmark is proof that climate, jobs and growth can go hand in hand.”

Back in 2016, Denmark and the U.S. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their cooperation on offshore wind energy projects by recognizing common interests in developing the industry.
