ACD Wins Order from TGE Marine Gas Engineering for LNG Fuel Pumps

ACD said that it has received an order from TGE Marine Gas Engineering to supply LNG fuel gas supply pumps for the new LNG carrier from MEYER WERFT GmbH.

The new tanker will transport liquefied natural gas with a cargo capacity of 15,600 cbm. The vessel will be Bureau Veritas (BV) classified and meet the highest environmental standards.

Delivery of the LNG fuel gas supply pumps is slated for May 2012 with the new vessel delivery scheduled for the end of 2012. The fuel supply pumps, ACD model TC-34, are submerged pumps designed to supply LNG from the cargo tank through a vaporizer system and feed low pressure natural gas to MAN’s 4-stroke engine.

We are excited to be partners with TGE and utilize our standard submerged products for this new and exciting LNG fuels market. This is a great opportunity to blend proven pump technology with market leaders to not only lower operating costs using LNG, but also meet increasing IMO emission standards,” said Richard Young, Deputy Managing Director of ACD.
The reliability of the TC-34 pump has made it an industry standard. Using these pumps, engine manufacturers and fuel gas system suppliers such as TGE, are able to meet system design specifications and have confidence that our product will meet performance criteria,” added Mr. Young.
