USA: Local Projects Won’t Matter if Deficit isn’t Addressed, Say Officials

Local Projects Won't Matter if Deficit isn't Addressed, Say Official

U.S. Rep. Allen West announced Tuesday that locally prioritized federal projects are going to be important only when Washington officials address the ascending debt.

One of the projects affected by the ascending debt is the St. Lucie Inlet dredging. Many inlets and ports, considered as local-level issues, are in a serious situation and need dredging.

According to Tcpalm.com, Martin County Sheriff Robert Crowder said that it is vital to adress the deficit. By posponing the dredging projects safety, economy and other areas concerned are affected.
