Sabine Pass Wins Approval to Install Structural Steel for Trains 3 and 4

FERC said in a statement it has granted Sabine Pass LNG’s request to commence installation of structural steel for its LNG export terminal Stage 2 Liquefaction Trains 3 and 4 facilities and the Stage 2 Heavies Removal Unit facilities.

Sabine Pass was also granted  to commence installation of underground piping for the Firewater, Amine, Instrument Air, Compressor Area Collection Drain, and Hot Oil systems for Stage 2 (Trains 3 and 4) facilities.

Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project is being developed for up to six natural gas liquefaction trains, each with a design production capacity of approximately 4.5 mtpa.

The company received all Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Department of Energy approvals for Trains 1 through 4, and is currently seeking regulatory authorization to develop Trains 5 and 6.
