USA: Shell opens LNG fueling lanes in Santa Nella

Shell informed on Tuesday it has opened new LNG lanes at TravelCenters of America’s Santa Nella, California truck fueling station.

The new station that will provide LNG fueling services for operators out of Los Angeles (Ontario), Shell said in its statement noting that since it has opened its first LNG fueling station with TA in California the network has grown to seven stations in the US and Canada.

The station is located along the interstate highway in Northern California, a region with heavy truck traffic, according to Shell.

The Santa Nella station has been opened under a deal Shell signed with TravelCenters of America to develop LNG fueling stations network for heavy-duty road transport. The two companies opened four more stations in Texas and Louisiana since March 2015.

Shell revealed that with the increase in demand in the US, together with TA, it intends to open additional fueling stations.
