USACE Meeting Fargo-Moorhead Diversion Project Next Week

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will host a meeting on the Corps’ draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project on September 13.

The meeting, to be organized in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will take place at the Courtyard Marriott, 1080 28th Ave S., Moorhead.

It will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an open house, and attendees will have an opportunity to engage Corps and Minnesota DNR staff on the content of the draft documents. A brief, formal presentation will follow the open house and verbal or written comments on the documents will be received,” said USACE.

This meeting will address proposed modifications to the project since the completion of the draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment dated September 2013.

At the meeting, participants will also be able to learn about the Minnesota DNR’s draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement, published August 27.
