Vard Langsten Delivers Far Statesman

New state-of-the-art AHTS vessel Far Statesman has today, Tuesday 4 June, been delivered from Vard Langsten to Farstad Supply AS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Farstad Shipping ASA.

The vessel (UT 731 CD) is designed by Rolls Royce Marine with a total length of 87.4m and breadth of 21.0m. Bollard pull is approx. 260 tons and installed power is approx. 24 000 BHP. The vessel was built according to DNV’s strictest environmental class “Clean Design”.

The UT 731 CD vessels are designed to work in extreme environmental conditions and carry out operations in water as deep as 3,000 metres.

Farstad Supply AS has sold the vessel to Ocean Yield AS and leased it back on a 12 year bareboat charter. The agreement includes options for Farstad Supply AS to buy back the vessel. The vessel will operate in the North Sea spot market.
