After Oran, it was up to Houston, the global energy capital, to host the 17th International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), organised by the International Gas Union from 16 to 19 April 2013. While in Houston, the entire global gas industry discussed the development outlook for LNG, a sector that is enjoying remarkable growth. For GDF SUEZ, and especially for the LNG BU, this trade show was an opportunity to strengthen its ties with the leading market operators.

The conference was attended by a record 5,000 industry professionals from 80 countries, as well as thousands of visitors. On 16 April, Jean-Marie Dauger, Executive Vice-President, in charge of the Global Gas & LNG business line, welcomed to the stand David Caroll, General Manager of the Gas Technical Institute and representative of the United States’ Department of Energy.

GDF SUEZ was represented by the teams from Global Gas & LNG and Infrastructures, and by the teams from GDF SUEZ Energy North America, Tractebel, and the Research Department. Several Group speakers participated in various conferences, including Denis Bonhomme from the LNG business line.
