VIDEO: Giant Cruise Ship Parade at German Rostock Port

Germany’s Rostock Port Warnemünde had a busy Wednesday last week, welcoming three large cruise ships, Regal Princess, Costa Luminosa and Celebrity Silhouette.

The arrival of the three cruise ships followed that of AIDAprima on April 28, which marked the opening of the cruise season at the port.

The video above shows the cruise ship giants strutting around the port as they dwarf their surroundings.

Regal Princess, the first of the three cruise ships shown in the video, is a Royal-class cruise ship operated by Princess Cruises. Featuring a length of 330 meters and a width of 38.4 meters, the ship can accommodate one thousand passengers.

The second ship on parade was Costa Luminosa that is operated by Costa Crociere. Built in 2008, the ship integrates a hybrid design, taking the best elements of Spirit-class and Vista-class cruise ships. It can accommodate 2.826 passengers.

Celebrity Silhouette was the third ship making a stop at Rostock Port Warnemünde on May 4. Operated by Celebrity Cruises, the ship boasts a length of 315 meters and a width of 36,8 meters. Built in 2011, the cruise ship can accommodate 2,886 guests.

During this season, Rostock Port expects 183 arrivals of cruise ships in 110 days.
