Video: Roger Ffooks on early days of LNG shipping

Twelfth October of 2014 marked a milestone in the history of LNG industry, 50 years since the first commercial shipment of LNG to the UK’s Canvey Island regasification terminal on 12th October in 1964.

SIGTTO visited one of the engineering pioneers Roger Ffooks, a naval architect who worked on Methane Pioneer as well as Methane Princess, the vessel that delivered the first commercial cargo from Algeria to the UK.
