VIDEO: Seajacks’ Work on Meerwind Project

Last month, Seajacks completed the installation work at the Meerwind project, a German offshore wind farm.

VIDEO Seajacks' Work on Meerwind ProjectSeajacks Zaratan worked alongside Seajacks Leviathan, self-propelled jack-ups, on the project, where they installed 80 wind turbines, including monopiles, transition pieces, towers and nacelles.

Seajacks also managed the scour protection installation around the monopiles. The rock material, which was loaded around the foundations, prevents hydrodynamic erosion to the base, thus preventing the severe damage to the turbine structure.

The 288MW Meerwind offshore wind farm, located in the Exclusive Economic Zone region of the German North Sea, is capable of powering up to 400,000 houses.
