DQS Completes Sea Trials of Tanker PVT MERCURY

Dung Quat Shipyard (DQS), on 24th May 2012, together with the ship Owner and ABS Registry successfully performed the sea trials for the 104.000 DWT Crude Oil Tanker named PVT MERCURY built for the Petrovietnam Transportation Corporation (PVTrans).

The 104,000 DWT crude oil tanker is the first big deadweight ton, as well as modern vessel constructed in Vietnam. This product required a ​​great deal of precision engineering and complicated equipment installation as well as skillful labors and high technology to be applied in the construction of this newbuild.
