Vroon Takes Delivery of New Post-Panamax Bulk Carrier Built in China

On Friday 26 August 2011 Vroon took delivery of MV Scotian Express, a 92,500-dwt post-panamax bulk carrier, built at Cosco Dalian Shipyard, China. Scotian Express left the Shipyard yesterday, 5 September. The vessel is the second in a series of four bulk carriers being built for Vroon in Dalian, with the remaining two vessels scheduled for delivery next year.

Scotian Express was christened last month in Dalian by Mrs Shashi Rajvanshy, wife of Mr Kishore Rajvanshy, Managing Director, Fleet Management Ltd. She flies the Gibraltar flag and has a fully Chinese crew. Ship management has been entrusted to Fleet Management Ltd. in Hong Kong.
