Vyborg Delivers Hull Blocks for Sovcomflot's Offshore Vessel

Vyborg shipyard JSC made the final contract delivery of hull blocks for the second supply vessel (order 507).

On June 20th, 2012 Vyborg shipyard JSC, in full accordance with the agreed construction schedule, made the final contract delivery of blocks for the second supply vessel (order 507). Weight of delivery is 1 390 tons.

Now therefore VSY fulfilled the contract obligations within the contract, signed in April, 2011 between Vyborg Shipyard JSC and Arctech Helsinki Shipyard (AHS) for blocks construction for two icebreaking supply vessels for Sovcomflot JSC.

Vyborg did the major part of the hull production because the steel production in Helsinki was closed down in 2003.

Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Inc. started the production of second icebreaking supply vessel for Russian shipping company Sovcomflot at the Helsinki Shipyard 2 November 2011. Production of the first vessel was started at Vyborg Shipyard in July 2011. Both vessels will be delivered in April 2013.

The vessels, once completed, will supply the Arkutun-Dagi oil and gas production platform of Exxon Neftegas Limited in the Sakhalin area in Far East Russia.
