Waigaoqiao to Build Six Bulkers for European Customers

Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) has entered into contracts with two European ship owners for the construction of six Capesize bulk carriers, SinoShip News reports.

Both of the mentioned contracts have an option for additional units, totaling four vessels in two contracts.

Ordered vessels will be built by the new 180,000dwt bulker design whose key features are reduction of oil consumption by 20% and improved transport capacity.
