Wan Hai Hires Diana’s Boxship

Greece-based containership owner Diana Containerships has inked a time charter deal with Wan Hai Lines (Singapore) for one of its Post-Panamax vessels, the M/V Hamburg.

The charter commenced on December 1 and the gross charter rate is USD 11,000 per day for a period of minimum 120 to maximum 220 days.

The 6,494 TEU vessel was previously chartered to French container shipping company CMA CGM at a gross charter rate of USD 6,700 per day.

This employment is anticipated to generate approximately USD 1.32 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter, Diana Containerships said.

Built at Japanese Koyo Dock in 2009, the Post-Panamax boxship currently has a market value of USD 19.56 million, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

Diana Containerships’ fleet currently comprises eleven container vessels – six Post-Panamaxes and five Panamaxes.
