WES calls for independent external experts

Wave Energy Scotland (WES) is seeking a number of individuals to support the evaluation process for its latest funding call on structural materials and manufacturing processes for wave energy technology.

WES launched the £3 million competitive funding call on July 18, 2016, with a focus on investigating whether it is possible to make a step change impact in the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE) by constructing typical WEC devices from alternative materials.

Each application to the call will require to be evaluated by a panel of individuals with the relevant technical skills and experience, to determine the projects which merit support.

WES is therefore recruiting for a number of individuals to support the evaluation process for the current call only with the requirements being divided into following 4 specific specialisms: Structural Engineers, Materials Scientists, Materials Manufacturing Specialists and Wave Energy Specialists.

The deadline for application for each of the 4 tenders is set for August 16, 2016.

WES is a subsidiary of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) established by the Scottish Government to advance wave energy sector in Scotland.
