Westcon to work on three Dolphin Drilling’s rigs

Norwegian supplier of products and services within cranes and lifting operations, Westcon Løfteteknikk AS, has been awarded a contract to work on Dolphin Drilling’s rigs. 

Namely, the contract is for three Dolphin Drilling’s semi-submersible drilling rigs Bideford Dolphin, Borgland Dolphin and Bredford Dolphin.

In an e-mail sent to Offshore Energy Today, Westcon’s spokesperson said that the contract is for three years with two one-year options; however, the financial details were not disclosed.

In addition, the spokesperson said that the scope of work for the rigs includes Dropped Objects Prevention Scheme (DROPS) and Lifting Appliances and Gear (LA&G) Inspections.

“This award confirms we have built a robust company with a broad portfolio of services,” said Karl Johan Jentoft, Westcon Løfteteknikk Managing Director.
