Wood Group Directors Step Down

Wood Group confirmed that Group Directors Les Thomas and Mark Papworth will step down from its board on 29 June.

Les joined the board in 2004, as CEO of the Group’s Production Facilities business, and last year moved to the fulltime role of Group Director of Health & Safety. On Les’s departure, Cinzia De Santis, Group Head of HSE, will continue the Group’s strong focus on health & safety, reporting directly to Allister Langlands, Group Chief Executive.

Mark has been a member of the board since 2006, serving as CEO of Wood Group GTS. Mark Dobler has been appointed CEO of Wood Group GTS, effective 1 July, and will report directly to Group Chief Executive, Allister Langlands.

Mark leaves our Wood Group GTS business in a much stronger position and well placed to benefit from the strong long term outlook for gas fired power generation. They depart with our best wishes.”
